Google MapsA section of the M8 has been closed to traffic near Whitburn in West Lothian following a collision and a reported police incident.
Traffic Scotland alerted drivers to the closure of the motorway eastbound at junction four at 7pm on Tuesday evening.
Motorists are being diverted via the on-slip and emergency services are at the scene.
All lanes were reopened after the collision was cleared shortly after 9pm, however the eastbound carriageway continues to be closed at junction four due to overnight roadworks.
