A luxury car was set on fire in the early hours of the morning in a West Lothian housing estate.

The white Jaguar XF was found alight while parked in a bay in Norman Rise, Livingston, at around 1am on Tuesday, July 13.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene where the blaze was quickly extinguished with no injuries reported.

Police are appealing for information following the deliberate fire.

Detective constable Emma Thacker, of Livingston CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.

“We are currently reviewing CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries in an effort to establish who was responsible.

“If anyone was driving in the area and may have captured footage on dash-cam that could help with our enquiries, please get in touch.”
