A man has been charged after police uncovered a large-scale cannabis factory in Fife.
Community officers executed a drugs search warrant at an address on Alford Drive in Glenrothes on Thursday, where they found evidence of a “large-scale production of cannabis oil and cannabis edibles”.
The team also recovered 7kg of cannabis, along with three electric off-road bikes, a stolen motorbike and a dog suspected to be an XL Bully.
A 34-year-old male has been charged and will be reported for a number of offences.
Community Sergeant Martyn Reidie said: “The detection and disruption of drug crime is a priority for Police Scotland.
“Drug misuse drives violent and antisocial behaviour, and we are actively pursuing individuals linked to the supply of controlled drugs amongst our young people.
“It is also clear that some of these individuals are utilising electric off-road bikes and I am pleased that we have taken more of these bikes off the streets”
“I would appeal for anyone with information about drug activity in their local area to get in touch and allow us to hold those responsible to account.
“Those with information are encouraged to contact their local community Policing team via 101 or by making an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
