Adobe StockFire crews are tackling an early morning fire in the open in a forest in West Lothian.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called around 6.58am on Sunday to the fire in Northfield Forest near Longridge.
Four fire appliances and specialist resources have been sent to the scene, with no reported casualties.
Due to smoke levels, residents who live nearby should keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution, crews said.
A statement read: “If you aren’t in the immediate area but can smell smoke, please follow the same advice.
“Members of the public should also avoid the area. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we bring this incident to a safe conclusion.”
