iStockA man has appeared in court charged with a woman’s murder.
Emergency services were called to a property in Edinburgh’s Stenhouse Gardens North at around 9.30am on Monday.
Dawn Trusler, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Joseph Cummings, 37, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
As well murder, Cummings has also been accused of assaulting police and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Cummings, of Edinburgh, made no plea when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The case was committed for further examination. Cummings was remanded in custody meantime and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
