An investigation has been launched after a woman was raped in a Dunfermline park.
Emergency services were called to Pittencrieff Park at around 6.15pm on Tuesday following reports of a serious sexual assault.
No arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.
Uniformed officers remain in attendance at the scene, and an area of the park has been cordoned off.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are investigating a report of a serious sexual assault on a woman within Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, which occurred around 6.15pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
“Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances.
“Officers will remain in the area while investigations are carried out and anyone with any concerns, or information, is asked to approach them or contact 101.”
