Police are investigating after a teenager was raped near a pavilion in Midlothian.
Detectives say they are following a “positive line of enquiry” after receiving reports of the incident on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 1.30am on Saturday near to Waverley Park Pavilion in Bonnyrigg.
Police and forensic teams have been combing the scene of the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report that an 18-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted around 1.30am, near to Waverley Park Pavilion, Bonnyrigg, on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
“Enquiries are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
