Investigation launched after reports of man with knife on city street

An investigation has been launched following reports of a man with a knife in Edinburgh.

Police were called to Gracemount Road around 7.45pm on Monday after a person was reportedly seen.

Officers attended and searched the area but no suspect was traced.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45pm on Monday, July 27, officers received a report of a person believed to be in possession of a knife on Gracemount Drive, Edinburgh.

“Officers attended and searched the area, however, there was no trace.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
