An investigation has been launched after a gang of teens sprayed a man with a fire extinguisher on a ScotRail train.
The British Transport Police confirmed reports of four teenagers acting in an anti-social manner on a train approaching Linlithgow station around 10.30am on Sunday.
Footage shared to social media showed the gang approaching a man sitting down, before deploying a fire extinguisher towards him.
The clip also appears to show one of the group throwing an item at the man.
The gang are then filmed leaving the train as the doors closed.
A British Transport Police statement read: “Officers received reports of four teenagers being anti-social on board a train approaching Linlithgow railway station just before 10.30am on Sunday.
“The boys then proceeded to assault a passenger before exiting the train.
“Officers continue to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, quoting reference 184 of October 12.”
