An investigation has been launched after a man died following an injury at an industrial estate in West Lothian.
Police, fire crews and an air ambulance were sent to the scene around 10.10am on Tuesday at an industrial premises on Blackburn Road in Bathgate.
A 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said it is aware of the incident and working with police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.10am on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, we received a report of a man injured at industrial premises on Blackburn Road, Bathgate.
“Emergency services attended; however the 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are continuing, and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were requested at 10.05am on Tuesday, March 4 to assist our emergency service partners at a commercial premises in Bathgate.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the town’s Blackburn Road, where firefighters worked to assist their partners before leaving the area.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.59am on March 4 2025 to attend an incident on Blackburn Road, Bathgate.
“Two ambulances, an air ambulance with trauma team and special operations response team (SORT) were dispatched to the scene.”
A HSE spokesperson said: “We are aware of the incident and are working with Police Scotland.”
