The deaths of two women at a property in East Lothian are being treated as “unexplained” by police.
Officers were called to Caponflat Crescent, in Haddington, after a report of concern was raised for the occupants of a house at around 3pm on Wednesday.
Upon entering, two women were pronounced dead.
The deaths are being treated as unexplained and enquires are ongoing, detectives said.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.10pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, police were called to a house in Caponflat Crescent, Haddington, after concern was raised for the occupants within. On attendance, two women were found deceased in the home.
“At this time, police are treating their deaths as unexplained but not suspicious, however enquiries are ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
