A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital after she was involved in a crash with a car in Fife.
Emergency crews including police, ambulances and an air ambulance were called to the scene on Methilhaven Road, Methil, at around 9am on Tuesday.
A 39-year-old woman, the cyclist, was airlifted to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Her condition is currently unknown.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 8.59am on Tuesday to attend an incident on Methilhaven Road, Buckhaven, Fife.
“We dispatched two ambulances, the SORT team, the trauma team and the helimed, and one patient was airlifted to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “We were called around 9am on Tuesday, 18 July, to a report of a crash involving a car and a cyclist on Methilhaven Road, Methil.
“Emergency services attended and a 39-year-old woman, the cyclist, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.”
