Police have issued an appeal after a man was assaulted and robbed by two men in West Lothian.
The incident took place on The Loan Path between Erskine Way and Logan Way in Livingston on Monday morning at around 7am.
A 40-year-old man was assaulted and suffered injuries to his neck before having a two-figure sum of cash stolen from him by two men.
Police are now looking to trace the men responsible for the attack.
One of the men is described as being in his 30s, white, of muscular build, around 5ft 10in, and was wearing a black hooded top.
The second man is described as white, of stocky build, around 6ft 2in, and was wearing a dark hooded top and black gloves.
Detective constable Steven Smith said: “This was a very frightening experience for the victim and we are appealing to anyone with any information or anyone who saw either of the men described to get in touch.”
