Detectives are hunting for a “stocky” man in his 40s after an attack in Livingston left a victim seriously injured.
The incident happened at around 4.50pm on Wednesday, April 22, on Deans Road North when a man, 33, was approached and seriously assaulted.
The victim attended hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
The suspect is described as a man aged around 40 years old, of stocky build, over 5ft 7ins tall and spoke with a local accent.
Detective sergeant Kevin Clark said: “The man was left with serious injuries as a result of this incident, and our enquiries are ongoing to trace the man responsible.
“We know that this is a busy road so would ask that anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, come forward and speak to officers.
“We’d also ask those in the local area with private CCTV or dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
