Google MapsPolice are searching for a man seen carrying a weapon believed to be a crossbow in Eyemouth.
Officers were called to reports of a group of men, aged between 16 and 30, in the Renton Terrace area around 9.30am on Monday.
One of the men was believed to be in possession of a weapon, which police say may have been a crossbow.
The group was last seen in the town’s High Street area.
A full search of the area was carried out, but there was no trace of the man.
He is described s being white with short, dark hair, and was wearing a t-shirt with orange markings and black trousers.
Police say there were no reports of a crossbow being fired or anyone injured but investigations are ongoing.
Inspector Copeland said: “We are keen to trace this group and establish the exact circumstances.
“A number of enquiries are ongoing, including checking CCTV from in and around the local area to identify those involved.
“We urge anyone with any information that may assist our enquiries to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 0763 of November 2, 2026.”
