A teenager is in hospital after a serious assault outside a store in West Lothian.
At around 4.35pm on Wednesday, March 8, a 17-year-old boy was in Bathgate’s Day Today Store when he was approached by a man who then followed him out onto the street and assaulted him.
He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Police are now hunting for the man involved and appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The suspect is described as around 5ft 5in in height, of slim build and aged his 20s.
He was wearing a black puffer style jacket, black joggers and had a mask covering the bottom half of his face.
Detective Jennifer Rogers said: ”We are appealing for information and asking anyone who saw what happened or saw the man, before or after the incident, to get in touch.
