Hundreds of homes in Edinburgh are without water after supplies were unexpectedly cut off.
Residents in the Niddrie area of Edinburgh were warned on Friday evening they may have no water after an “interruption to supply”.
Scottish Water has confirmed an investigation is currently under way.
A spokesperson said: “We are currently investigating reports of an interruption to water supplies for customers in Niddrie, Edinburgh, EHJ16.
“A further update will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
“Apologies for any inconvenience or disruption caused.”
The Scottish Water website says their team is currently on stage one of their investigation.
