Traffic disruption is expected as work to refurbish an 18th-century bridge in Edinburgh moves into a “crucial stage”.
From Monday, both directions will be down to a single lane, while some bus stops will be temporarily moved.
A £22m revamp of North Bridge is under way to secure the A-listed crossing’s long-term future.
Edinburgh Council said the road restrictions were essential for the refurbishment project, which began in 2018.
Transport leader Councillor Lesley Macinnes said: “We have reached a crucial stage in the project to refurbish this historic bridge, which provides a vital transport link between the north and south of Edinburgh.”
