A high school in Falkirk has been sent a hoax bomb threat by email.
Police searched St Mungo’s High School on Monday after the correspondence was reported by staff.
Officers gave advice to school employees after the threat was found not to be “credible”.
The school said on Twitter: “A bomb threat was received by St Mungo’s High School this morning.
“Officers from Police Scotland subsequently completed a search of the school to confirm this was a hoax.
“The school will be open as normal tomorrow.”
A Police Scotland spokesman added: “We received a report of a threatening email that was sent to St Mungo’s High School in Falkirk around 10.45am on Monday, January 6.
“Initial enquiries were carried out, the threat is not believed to be credible and advice was given to staff.”
