Heavy rain has closed a major route through the Scottish Borders following damage to a bridge.
Motorists have been warned to avoid the A702 at the Westwater Bridge in West Linton after more than a dozen flood warnings were issued amid a yellow weather warning in parts of the country.
Drivers are instead advised to divert via the A701 and the A721/A72 and plan ahead before travelling in the south of the country.
The Met Office alert for rain ended at 6am on Wednesday morning, however a number of other routes remain affected by standing flood water.
BEAR Scotland said it would issue updated information once a full assessment of the infrastructure had been carried out.
No other flood or weather warnings have yet been issued, though forecasters said drizzly conditions are expected throughout the day.
