A missing Clackmannanshire pensioner has been found “safe and well”.

Fay Simpson, 69, was last seen at her home in Tillicoultry on Monday.

On Wednesday morning, Police Scotland issued a public appeal for help.

A few hours later, a force spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Fay Simpson, 69, who was reported missing from Clackmannanshire, has been traced safe and well.

“The media and the public are thanked for their assistance.”
