A girl has been arrested in connection with theft and assault at a shop on Friday.
Officers were alerted to the disturbance at Edinburgh’s Waverley Mall near to the railway station at around 6pm.
Police arrived at the scene and traced a 12-year-old girl nearby. She was arrested in connection with the incident and is due to be reported to be reported to the relevant authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Friday, April 4, 2025 police received a report of a disturbance within Waverley Mall, Edinburgh.
“Officers attended and a 12-year-old girl was traced nearby and arrested in connection with theft of goods from a shop and assault. She will be reported to the relevant authorities.”
