A fundraiser has been launched to ensure a “beloved” Fife man is given the “farewell he deserves”.
Daniel Mrimi was last seen in the Morningside area of Edinburgh at around 12.50pm on Monday.
The following day, police confirmed that a body had been found during the search for the 20-year-old.
The man has not been formally identified; however, Daniel’s family were informed of the discovery.
A fundraiser has since been launched to help the family give the “beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle” a “dignified” send-off.
Chantal Mrimi wrote that Daniel’s family has been left “heartbroken” following the “unimaginable loss”.
She wrote: “We have created this page for those who wish to contribute towards funeral costs so we can give Daniel the dignified farewell he deserves.
“Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease some of the financial burden during this devastating time.
“We kindly ask for privacy as we grieve and thank everyone for their love, prayers, support, and kindness.”
Detectives do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
