Fresh police appeal one week after teenager raped in car Police Scotland

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information one week on after a teenager was raped in a car in Fife.

The 18-year-old woman was attacked within a vehicle in an unknown location in Kelty and was later found in Limepark Crescent at 11.15pm last Monday night.

The suspect was driving the car and is described as having a tanned complexion, dark hair and a dark beard.

Investigating officers still have no further information on the vehicle involved and are appealing to anyone who knows something to come forward.

Detectives and local uniformed officers will be carrying out a stop and speak on Monday night with drivers and walkers at various points throughout Kelty.

Detective inspector Kelly McEwan said: “The incident happened between 10.55pm and 11.15pm, and the victim had previously been in the area of Main Street, Kelty.

“I am appealing to members of the public who were in the area who may have seen something which could be significant to us.

“In particular, I would ask taxi drivers and motorists with dashcams to check their footage. It’s possible they have captured images of the vehicle which could prove vital in our enquiries.

“I am also appealing for the driver of a dark coloured car seen in the area of Seafar Drive, Blairadam Crescent and Limepark Crescent about 11.15pm to come forward as they may be a crucial witness.”

If you have any information, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
