Two men have been arrested after four vehicles were deliberately torched in Fife during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Dunfermline’s Linburn Road at around 3.25am.

The blazes were extinguished by firefighters and no injuries were reported.

Officers charged two men, aged 18 and 25, in connection with the incident.

A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. An investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.25am on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, we received a report of four vehicles having been deliberately set on fire on Linburn Road, Dunfermline.

“The fires were extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. No injuries were reported.

“Two men, aged 18 and 25, were arrested and charged in connection. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
