Police are searching for four men who fled from an East Lothian home on e-bikes after stealing more than £10,000 in cash and vandalising a vehicle.
The break-in happened at a house in Suthren Yett, Prestonpans, between 2am and 3am on Sunday. A five-figure sum of cash was stolen during the incident.
Officers are looking for four men who left the home on e-bikes.
Detective Inspector Keith Sinclair said: “Four men made off from the house after the break-in on Sur-Ron electric bikes in the direction of Jim Bush Drive.
“We are urging anyone who was in this area on Sunday morning who seen anything suspicious or who has any information that may assist our enquiries to contact us.
“We are keen to trace the four men and the electric motorbikes used in this crime. These illegal bikes can pose a serious safety risk to members of the community and we would ask anyone who is aware of these being used in the Prestonpans area to please contact us.
“If you have any information, dash-cam or personal footage that could assist our enquiries, please contact 101 quoting incident number 0842 of February 22, 2026. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
