Four people have been injured after a marked police car crashed into another vehicle while responding to an emergency.
The collison occured around 8.45pm on Saturday evening on Salisbury Road in Edinburgh.
Police said officers in the marked vehicle were not hurt, while four people from the car were treated at the scene.
It is understood that the Police Investigation and Review Commissioner has not been notified of the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45pm on Saturday, December 27, 2025, a marked police vehicle responding to an emergency and a car were in collision on Salisbury Road, Edinburgh.
“Four people from the car were treated at the scene. The officers were not injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
