Firefighters have worked through a second night tackling a blaze at a waste facility in Fife.
Several fire appliances went to the scene at a landfill site near Ladybank when the alarm was raised at around 1.35pm on Tuesday.
At the height of the incident 12 appliances and specialist resources were dealing with the blaze.
Five appliances and specialist resources were still at the scene at 6.30am on Thursday.
There were no reports of any casualties.
Fife Council said the facility will remain closed while emergency services continue their work and warned there may be some short-term disruption to bin collections.
In a statement on social media the council said: “Fire crews remain on site at the Ladybank Waste Facility and are expected to be there for several days following a significant fire.
“It will remain closed while emergency services continue their work.
“We’re working hard to maintain normal bin collections across Fife, but there may be some short-term disruption in parts of north Fife as we manage the impact.”
Some roads in the area were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
