Firefighters remain at the scene of a fire at a landfill site in Fife three days after it took hold.
Four fire engines and a height vehicle are at the scene of the blaze at the Lower Melville Wood site near Ladybank.
Emergency services were first called around 1.30pm on Tuesday.
At the height of the incident, 12 appliances and specialist resources were dealing with the blaze.
A number of fire engines rotated at the scene through Thursday night, with four along with specialist resources due to be there from 8am.
Locals are being urged to keep their windows and doors closed due to the level of smoke in the area.
No casualties have been reported.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Four appliances and one height vehicle remain at the scene of a fire at a landfill site near Ladybank, Fife.
“Due to smoke in the area, if you live nearby, please close your windows and doors as a precaution.
“There are no reported casualties, and crews remain at the scene.”
Fife Council said the facility will remain closed while emergency services continue their work and warned there may be some short-term disruption to bin collections.
The local authority said: “We understand this has been a worrying incident for residents and disruptive for people travelling through the area or trying to use Ladybank Recycling Centre.
“Smoke is still coming from the site as the fire is brought under control, residents should continue to keep windows and doors closed if they can see or smell smoke.
“Bin collections are currently going ahead as planned and people should continue to present bins and bulky uplift items as normal.
“The household waste recycling centre at the site is closed due to the fire and will remain so while firefighting activity continues.
“However, the Ladybank Recycling Centre area is unaffected and will reopen as soon as the fire is out and safe access can be reinstated.”
