Firefighters have extinguished a fire after a car burst into flames in Edinburgh.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the vehicle, which went on fire on Wester Hailes Road on Thursday evening.
Police said they were called to the incident around 5.25pm and confirmed there were no injuries.
A spokeswoman said: “At 5.25pm we were called to Wester Hailes Road because there was a car on fire on the southbound carriageway.
“There was one person in the car – the driver – but they were fine and there were no injuries.
“The vehicle was extinguished and road was reopened around 6.10pm.”
