Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a block of flats in Edinburgh, with surrounding roads closed.
Emergency services were called to the fire at the block in the Whitson Road area around 10.45am on Monday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three appliances and a number of additional resources to the scene of a fire in a top-floor flat.
One person has been taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service, crews said.
STV NewsTwo appliances remain at the scene.
Whitson Road and the surrounding access roads are currently closed.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 10.46am on Monday, May 4, to reports of a dwelling fire on Whitson Road, Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and a number of specialist resources to extinguish a fire affecting a top-floor flat.
“One casualty has been taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Two appliances remain at the scene.”
