Emergency services were called to tackle a deliberate multi-vehicle blaze in Fife during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The alarm was raised at around 6.44am after a fire took hold of a caravan and two cars on St Kilda Crescent in Kirkcaldy.

Two engines were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze. Fire crews left around 7.57am after ensuring the area was safe.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives are treating the incident as wilful and an investigation is ongoing.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.44am on Sunday, January 4, to reports of a vehicle fire on St Kilda Crescent, Kirkcaldy.

“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene, where firefighters worked to extinguish a fire affecting one caravan and two cars.

“There were no reports of casualties, and crews left at approximately 7.57am after ensuring the area was safe.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.50am on Sunday, January 4, 2026, we were made aware of a caravan and two cars on fire in the St Kilda Crescent area of Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended, and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. No injuries were reported.

“The fire is being treated as wilful, and enquiries are ongoing.”
