Fire crews were called to tackle a flat blaze in Fife during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Somerville Square in Burntisland at around 5.36am.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Services sent three engines to extinguish the flames. One appliance remains in attendance, but the blaze has been put out.
Police and ambulance crews were also on the scene, however, it is not known if there are any injuries.
The road was blocked off by officers following the fire.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.55am on Wednesday, 25 March, 2026, we were called to a report of a fire at a property on Somerville Square, Burntisland.
“Officers are at the scene.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
