A blaze broke out in a flat in Edinburgh’s city centre on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were seen in attendance in the South Bridge area of the capital after a fire broke out in a first floor flat shortly before 6.30pm.
It is understood that both North and South Bridge are closed in the city.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent six appliances to the scene and remain in attendance.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.29pm on Saturday June 3 to reports of a flat on fire in South Bridge, Edinburgh.
“Operations control mobilised six appliances to a first floor flat in a five storey building.
“Crews remain in attendance.”
