A Fife woman, who was last seen a week ago, may have driven to Lockerbie.
Caitlin Curry was last seen in the Springfield area at around 1pm on July 28.
The 31-year-old is described as 5ft 7in tall, of medium build with brown eyes and long, brown hair.
She has a large mole behind her right ear and has a butterfly tattoo on one of her forearms.
Caitlin contacted a family member on July 29, but has not been heard from since.
She was reported missing to the police on Monday.
Detectives believe the 31-year-old may have driven towards the Langholm / Lockerbie areas of Dumfries and Galloway in a blue Peugeot 2008 Allure.
Sergeant Martyn Reidie said: “Caitlin’s family is understandably worried and just want her home safely.
“We are continuing to speak with her family and friends for any small piece of detail which could assist us in locating Caitlin. If anyone has seen her or has any information about her whereabouts, please contact us.”
Those with information are urged to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident 3053 of Monday, August 3.
