A man has been taken to hospital following a crash in Fife during the early hours of Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the A985 between Rosyth and Crombie at around 1.20am following reports of a one-vehicle collision.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not known.

The stretch of road was closed from 1.20am until just after 10am to allow for investigations to be a carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A985 has re-opened following a one vehicle crash between Rosyth and Crombie reported to police around 1.20am on Monday, April 20.

“Emergency services attended and the driver, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital.

“Road users are thanked for their patience.”
