The family of a 28-year-old man killed in a motorcycle crash in Fife has been “devastated” by his death.
Ryan Bayne, from Leven, has been formally identified after being pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Tuesday.
The crash occurred around 9.50pm on the A917 near Elie.
In a statement, his family said: “We are devastated and this is a tragic loss for us and everyone who knew Ryan. We ask for our privacy to be respected at this time.”
Police said he was riding a green and blue Kawasaki ZX9 from the direction of Leven towards Elie when the vehicle left the road.
He was riding with a second man on a black and yellow Suzuki scrambler style motorcycle. The second motorcyclist was not involved in the crash and was uninjured.
An investigation was carried out at the scene and the road reopened around 3.45am.
A Police Scotland statement said: “Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3441 of October 4.”
