Emergency services were called to an Edinburgh street twice within hours due to hazardous material incident.

The alarm was first raised near to Hermitage Terrace and Morningside Road at around 3.13pm on Thursday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances and a specialist resource to the scene. Crews left the area at around 7.40pm

Images of the first incident show police, firefighters and ambulance teams in attendance.

Less than three hours later, a second hazardous material incident occurred on Hermitage Terrace. Again two fire appliances and a specialist resource attended.

Emergency services left the area at around 1.18am on Friday.
