A teenager has been charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder of a man as he sat in a car in Edinburgh.
The 25-year-old was said to have been stabbed through the passenger window of a blue Honda on Balfour Place in the Pilrig area of the city on Tuesday, May 3.
The man was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment following the incident and was last described as being in a “stable condition”.
Police Scotland say a 17-year-old man has now been arrested following an appeal.
The teenager is set to appear in court on Monday, while a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Following an investigation into an attempted murder on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Balfour Place, Edinburgh, officers have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male youth in connection with the incident.
“The youth is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
