A road in the Fountainbridge area of Edinburgh has been closed following a crash between a cyclist and a pedestrian.

Police said that Dundee Street in the capital was closed between Viewforth and Gibson Terrace shortly after 6pm following the incident.

Emergency services are in attendance and people are being urged to avoid the area.

Any injuries as a result of the crash are not yet known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Dundee Street is closed between Viewforth and Gibson Terrace due to a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian.

“Emergency services are in attendance and people are being urged to avoid the area.”
