A road in Edinburgh was closed after a fire broke out in an attic in an Edinburgh property.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Restalrig Road South at around 7.20pm on Tuesday.
Four fire engines and a high-rise appliance were sent to the scene.
The road was closed at the roundabout with Sleigh Drive while crews dealt with the fire.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
The fire was extinguished by crews and no injuries were reported. The road later reopened.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.20pm on Tuesday, June 9, to reports of a fire within the attic space of a flat on Restalrig Road South in Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and a high reach appliance to the area, and the fire was extinguished.
“There were no reported casualties, and crews left the scene after ensuring it was safe.”
