A pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle in Edinburgh with a number of roads closed.
Officers said St John’s Road is closed in both directions between Drumbrae roundabout and Corstorphine Bank Drive following the collision around 5.50pm on Monday.
Emergency services are said to be on the scene with drivers urged to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “St John’s Road is closed in both directions between Drumbrae roundabout and Corstorphine Bank Drive following a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that happened around 5.50pm on Monday, December 30.
“Emergency services are in attendance. Please avoid the area.”
Scottish Citylink said on X: “Due to a police incident, our 900 services will divert and are unable to serve Haymarket, Edinburgh Zoo, Murrayfield, Corstorphine, Drum Brae and Maybury.”
Lothian Buses added: “Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve St John’s Road and are instead diverted via Drum Brae South, Drum Brae Drive and Clermiston Road in both directions until further notice.”
