Edinburgh man missing for five days thought to have travelled by van after vehicle seen in Aberdeen Police Scotland

A man missing for five days may have travelled to Aberdeen using a van, police have said as they appeal to trace him.

Callum Laird was last seen in Edinburgh on Friday May 5 and has not been seen since.

Police believe that the 24-year-old may have travelled to Aberdeen as his vehicle, a white Volkswagen Caddy van was located in the Gallowgate area around 12.50pm on Tuesday, May 9.

He is described as being around 6ft 1in tall, of a slim build with blonde hair and a beard. 

He speaks with an English accent and the clothing he was wearing is unknown.

Inspector Susan Taylor said: “Our enquiries to trace Callum and we are appealing for anyone who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who has seen someone matching Callum’s description to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 3381 of May 9, 2023.
