A man has been charged after another was seriously injured following an attack by a dog in Edinburgh.
At around 8.10pm on Thursday, May 4, a 24-year-old man was found with serious facial injuries following the attack near to the junction between Drum Brae South and Duart Crescent.
He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The dog has been seized and a 25-year-old man has now been charged.
Police said that the incident was isolated and that the 25-year-old would appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
Detective constable Stephen Nelson said : “This was an isolated incident which happened within a private dwelling.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.”
