Motorists in Edinburgh are facing long delays after a crash on the city bypass.

The eastbound carriageway of the A720 was blocked between Baberton and Dreghorn after a four-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon.

Police said there were no reports of injuries, and the road reopened just after 3.30pm.

Drivers were warned, however, that they would continue to face delays.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 1.25pm on Monday, January 30, to a report of a four-vehicle crash on the A702 Edinburgh city bypass eastbound near the Dreghorn junction.

“Officers attended and recovery has been arranged.”
