A city centre road in Edinburgh was locked down after a pedestrian was knocked down by a bus.
Emergency services were called to Shandwick Place at around 2.40pm on Friday.
A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a bus. Their current condition is unknown.
The road was closed in both directions following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40pm on Friday, August 23, 2024 we were called to a report of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on Shandwick Place in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital.
“The road is closed and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
