Google MapsA crash has closed the A8 between Newbridge roundabout and Gogar, preventing access to Edinburgh Airport.
According to Traffic Scotland, the A8 is closed in both directions, meaning no access to the airport for travellers.
A fire spokesperson confirmed three appliances had been deployed to the scene following reports of a crash just before 9.30am on Monday.
They also confirmed the collision occurred close to the BP garage.
A police helicopter has also been spotted at the scene.
Drivers are being warned to avoid the area, with Edinburgh Airport directing travellers to keep following Traffic Scotland’s updates.
Police and SAS have been approached for comment.
