‘Abandoned’
Angeline Coyle said she has been stranded in Krakow after her flight back to Edinburgh was cancelled at 7.30pm on Thursday.
She said has now been told her flight home will be diverted to Manchester on Sunday.
“We were due to fly from krakow to Edinburgh at 7.30pm last night”, she told STV News. “Flight was cancelled around 9pm, along with many others, supposedly due to fog. EasyJet basically abandoned us. We were advised that we would be emailed with alternative details, hotels etc.
“Emails didn’t come through till early hours of the morning. Advised that my flight wouldn’t leave till SUNDAY and it would be to Manchester.
“There are three of us. My friend is 81 and very upset, exhausted and needs her meds.
“I had to find a hotel by myself at midnight last night, take a taxi, then re book my own flights with Ryanair tonight to Edinburgh.
“Now to see online that Edinburgh is in chaos. I’m unsure now if we will even get away tonight.”
EasyJet have been contacted for comment.
