iStockAn early morning Ryanair flight to Edinburgh Airport declared a mid-air emergency as it approached the Scottish capital.
Flight FR5090 from Malaga left Spain just before 4am on Wednesday and later issued a 7700 emergency code.
The airline has confirmed that the craft experienced a minor technical issue.
The plane landed at Edinburgh Airport as normal and was met by emergency services, which is standard procedure.
Passengers left the plane normally and engineers carried out an inspection to identify the issue.
A spokesperson from Ryanair said: “This flight from Malaga to Edinburgh experienced a minor technical issue before landing normally at Edinburgh Airport.
“Passengers disembarked normally and the aircraft was subsequently inspected by our engineers in accordance with established procedures.”
