Seven fire engines were dispatched to the blaze at Edinburgh's Torrance Park.

A fire at a block of flats in Edinburgh forced 19 people to flee and take refuge in temporary accommodation early on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the dwelling fire on Edinburgh’s Torrance Park at around 1.40am.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched six appliances and a height appliance to extinguish the flames.
